Well today was a rather relaxed day. It started off with waking very early (early for me – haha) to go to Ikea with my mom. We ended up leaving way later than when I woke up, but that’s fine. I took care of some stuff around the house for my mom and she was happy. Lewl~ When we got there we ended up finding some cool closet storage units… we decided I would go through and organize my two closets and make room for that so that I would have somewhere to put my loose cosplay stuff (ie; Yoko cosplay which doesn’t really have anything I can hang up in the closet lol). Also was trying to find some shelves for all my wigs..but decided I would wait on that as well~
After my mom and I were finished with Ikea I met up with a couple of my high school friends. We just hung out and talked for a little.. and then I left for home. Played some Huxley with Kerry and now I’m here. Later on tonight I’m going to pick up my childhood friend and she’s going to spend the night at my house. Tomorrow we’re going to go to downtown LA to check out the fashion district for some shopping. :] Should be fun. I hope to pick up some stuff for Miku. ^^ Maybe I can find some good Miku and/or Yoko boots. Hehe~

hee, I’m happy to say I completed my second commission on my list of commissions-to-do. :3 I’m pretty happy with how this one came out, got a lot of details down pretty well. The pose was pretty fun to do too. Haha~
Today was pretty laid back. I went to the store to do a little grocery shopping as well as stopping by the bank to deposit checks from my mom (to cover groceries I’ve been doing and classes for fall semester). I had enough to be able to buy my two wigs I wanted, and because I’m paranoid they won’t be available later, I decided to grab them… This will be the most expensive “lone” expense for my Miku cosplay anyways, so I should be fine. (Post regarding wig purcahse) Then I just worked on my commission for Zen… Hmm.
Kerry came later tonight and we played some Heroes of Newerth together. Huxley will be out tomorrow (today, since I’m posting at 4:00am rofl) so that’ll be something cool to look forward to. I miss Huxley! Been too long since we’ve played, haha~ Other than that I don’t think I have much to share for now.. I’m too tired to really concentrade haha~
Yeah! I just ordered my two wigs for my Miku Hatsune cosplay! I bought a normal one and a second one – wavy hair version. I spent a lot of money, but I think I’ll be very happy with these two wigs! Especially since now I’m set for Miku in more than one way…. for the cosplay itself and the AniMaid Café. I like to call myself the “cosplay maid” because from now on all my maid appearances will be in some sort of cosplay (Yoko or Miku).
My Yoko ponytail was 100cm long, and the Miku ponytails are 120cm… and considering how much trouble I had with the 100cm long ponytail, I don’t think there’s any way I’ll be wanting to dance with two 120cm ponytails, so the wavy version wig is to make up for that.. =3 Plus, I just love how the wavy one looks and I’ll be able to wear that regularly, since it looks fairly comfortable. ^_^
I went to Ross to look for shoes for Miku (and to see if there was anything better for Yoko), but I didn’t have any luck. That’s fine though cuz I’m sure I’ll be going to fashion district quite a few times between now and the next convention~

Today was quite the productive day. I sold a couple of my old English books for some money. So woot, cosplay monies! Mwahaha~ After that I had to go buy my mom some massage ointment for my grandmother, but I got majorly lost while trying to find the store! @_@ By the time I figured out where it was I noticed that the store that I buy my wig heads from was nearby, so I dropped by and bought one for my Miku wig. =3 I mailed out the thing for my grandma and then went to get gas…
Gah. I wanted to get gas at Costco since it’s so cheap…but then I remembered that I don’t have American Express… and I didn’t have enough money on debt to be able to pay… so I ended up going to 76..and then I accidentally went to Full Serve, so it was like $0.40 more per gallon plus I had to pay a tip. @_@ Since they demanded to wash my windows… At least I got away from them checking my oil. x_x
Afterwards I dropped by at Home Depot and bought some PVC Pipes and spray paint for my new Yoko rifle. =3 Need to order some spring hooks (for the gun and my Miku cosplay), and then I’ll be pretty much good to go (for the most part). I hope it comes out a lot better this time. @_@ At least this time I have a lot of time to work on [...]
his weekend was one of my most laid back weekends in a while. On Saturday Kerry and I went to an AXF Get together, which was a lot of fun! Got to see pretty much everyone in one place! Though Hayley didn’t go.. and Maoh was there for so short. D: But otherwise it was a lot of fun. When we got there Cookie was playing some of his techno on the speakers, but then Kerry and I jacked it to play Hatsune Miku: Project Diva, haha~ So Vocaloid music was playing the entire time, practically – since everyone wanted to play the game.
So I’ve decided I’m going to put my Akito/Agito cosplay “on hold” for a while, or at least put it off to the side and focus on my Miku Hatsune cosplay. I’m really excited about it! Going to order my wig within the next few days. I’ve gotta buy some hangers for my wall or something for all these long ponytails (Yoko + Miku Hatsune [x2]) lmao. Right now my Yoko ponytail is hanging in my closet, which I don’t feel all that secure about… I’ve got to work on remaking my gun as well. Gah! So much to do. Been researching some of the materials needed for my Miku cosplay, and damn. I better not mess up, or this will end up being one expensive cosplay.
Tomorrow I better not be lazy, and actually work on stuff. Lol Might as well practice some dances tomorrow too.
Agh! I’ve gotten distracted and I’ve been a bit busy with some side projects and research that I haven’t really had much time to update here. Been working on Zen’s commission, and will probably get it done in the beginning of next week. Meanwhile, I’ve been constantly researching some stuff for my next cosplay. I think Akito/Agito is more of a side cosplay at this point. Once I get everything figured out and set (in terms of the research I’ve been doing) for the cosplay I’ll announce it. I don’t want to overhype it end up not being able to live up to my big words. ^-^’ But if all goes as planned, I have a lot planned for it which should make it really exciting!
I went fishing with my dad on Thursday which was a lot of fun. Lots of surprises too! My dad caught two sting rays, that was insane… Some other guy on the fishing boat with us caught two sharks. I mean, dang… What other crazy stuff could we catch? Haha.
Yesterday I mainly hung out with Kerry. We went to Cue! to hang out with all the other AX Forumers at the goodbye get together for Fujiko. It was pretty hilarious because neither of us knew about it or were told.. So Maoh was asking us out of the blue, “so you guys are coming tonight right?” to which we both pretty much said, “what?” Haha. Even though we got there very late, we still had [...]
Yayy! I just finished one of my commissions just now. @_@ A bit late, but eh.. at least I’m done with it! So I can start on Zen’s tomorrow. Mwahahaha. I’m really happy with how this one came out, honestly. I haven’t really done much art in a while, so this was a nice warm up. Messed around with color theory, and I got the anatomy done pretty well… at least I would think so. I hope everything came out okay on the commission.
Played more Heroes of Newerth today with Kerry, Ben, Bryce, and a few of their friends. It was a lot of fun… I’m playing with a new hero now (Moon Queen) and I’ve actually improved quite a bit. My last two games I got quite a few hero kills, so I was pretty happy with myself. ^-^ Haha other than playing HoN and working on the commission, I’ve done nothing but listen to Vocaloid music all day, and find dances I could do as Miku Hatsune when I cosplay as her. =3 I found quite a few candidates, and a few of which I really want to do.
Haha the title is from another awesome Vocaloid song I’ve fallen in love with. But anyways, today was a bumpy day. The morning began with me feeling extremely grouchy and down because of problems between myself and my dad. But as the day went on, I slowly hammered myself back to being myself and cheerful. Things smoothed out between my dad and I as well. We’re going to go fishing together on Wednesday morning. Hopefully we catch a lot of fishies~
Had to go do grocery shopping because we ran out of milk, and man… I bought a lot of juice. A carton of orange juice; mango and peach; pineapple and orange; and fruitpunch. So much fruit juice~ It makes me very happy. :3
Haha. But yeah, other than that.. I pretty much just worked on DeviaLuna’s commission all day (other than a game or two of Heroes of Newerth). It’s almost done~ I was hoping to finish it tonight, but I’m too tired to keep working… I’ll start being all sloppy, so I’ll just head to bed a little earlier and work on it tomorrow. Then I’ll work on Zen’s commission immediately afterwards.
