ell, I have the photoshoot pictures now! I’m really happy with them! These shots just seem so professional, they amaze me. @_@ I’ve been spoiled with amazing photographers, haha. This shoot has really inspired me to improve myself though… I’m trying to learn to use make up better now and I’m going to be working out more, dieting better, and whatnot to get a better figure. ^_^ It’s really amazing how much cosplay can help someone, hehe. (If you happen to be a cosplayer looking for a photographer, ask Tim Vo or Omar Hussain! They’re both wonderful, as you can see with these beautiful shots!)
To the right is a sketch I worked on for my next mini cosplay project, gothic-lolita Miku. I’m going to be using my wavy wig and black yukata as well as making little accessories for the ponytails. I’m going to look into purchasing tattoo paper so I can design myself something for my cheek. I need to get some shoes and some cute socks, and possibly buy some mini bows to enhance a few spots (ie; socks). Really looking forward to getting this look down, though I need to figure out what kind of make up would look good with it.
Working on AniMaid Café stuff and commissions now, as well as juggling school work, so busy! And I just realized I need to finish writing the step-by-step tutorial of my gun, though I ended up not getting progress pictures of the end steps.. >_> Oops, but [...]
Oops, I haven’t posted in way too long! I guess I’ll try to recap everything that’s gone on this past week.
ast weekend as some of you may know/remember, was MikomiCon. I didn’t get to spend too much time there, but there were a few things that were really awesome. I discovered that on our way to the convention that my gun’s magazine and pistol had broken off my gun. I was pretty upset because I was looking forward to showing off my revamped gun and hopefully getting a photoshoot done with Magume as Kamina. I tried to take it to the convention with me, but they fell right off.. So decided it was time to take it back to the car after all. My friend Impulse offered for us to go to his house and possibly try to fix the gun up with hot glue, so we took the offer.
Once we got there though, he unfortunately couldn’t find his hot glue gun. ><” So we just decided that the gun would take a break, haha. We stopped by at 7-11 and grabbed slurpies and headed back to the convention. Kerry, Impulse, Carl, Kat, and a few others were hanging out together at MikomiCon. Got a few pictures taken, inlcuding the one on the right (taken by Cephas of cosplay.com). ast two days have been pretty busy! On Wednesday I had a Psychology test, which eh, didn’t go all that great.. But I always give myself leeway on the first test, since I use the first test to see what to study for and whatnot. I didn’t memorize too many of the dates (I never do) and that was a large focus on the exam. Oh well~
Today I woke up kind of late, so I was in a big rush to get to class in time. I was lucky with parking so I made it there alright. Design actually went by extremely fast because we were working on our assignments rather than listening to a boring lecture, haha. Worked on sketching Rhgenkoba’s next commission between my clsases, and geology was the usual. We watched a movie about a volcano in the Philippine, which killed most of the class’s time, woot.
After I came home from class, I immediately dashed off to Office Max to get the pattern for the butt of my Yoko rifle laminated. After that I pretty much mainly worked on my gun all day! Getting little pieces cut and getting things all together in general.. It’s looking good, thankfully. :3 Tomorrow I have to make the end barrel and make the “holders” for the scope out of sculpey, and then I’ll be able to spray paint it and finish, woot! hee, I finished the Kallen commission for Rhgenkoba. Took me a little longer than expected, but with school just starting off I needed to get back into the hang of it. Haha. I’m really happy with this one! Her pose is a little too close to the original reference picture given to me, but I think I spent around 5 hours just messing with her pose, at which point I gave up and went with my original sketch idea which was based on the reference image given. I made a wallpaper version of this at 1600×1200px, which I’ll be giving to the commissioner, as well as getting an 8×10″ print.
Today was a good day in general. Classes went pretty well and after school Kerry came over. I had fun spending the day with him, though I didn’t get as much done as I was hoping to, but that’s alright. I’ll just catch up tomorrow~ Kerry and I met up with some of my high school friends and we went to Norms, where we just hung out and talked. xD Nerd talk! Was a lot of fun. I missed my friends. ♥
But yeah, I gotta dash to bed now, gotta wake up early-ish so I can study for my Psychology test as well as finish my Japanese homework~ おやすみなっさい～
Blaahh, I’m so tired. I’m about ready to crash. T-T” This weekend was pretty much filled with playing Aion, haha… I think it was Thursday that Kerry and I started playing? Or was it Wednesday? I forgot and I’m too lazy to look back in my logs. I think Wed… Thursday if I recall I was lagging like crazy and couldn’t do anything at all. On Friday Kerry came over and we were playing it together, and we were both lagging for a long time… but after resetting all three routers at my dad’s computer, I managed to fix the connection. Saturday was filled with playing Aion, and.. yeah.. Today I played a little bit too, but not nearly as much.
Fun game. Still a lot to get used to though.. and I’m trying to see what ranger and cleric are like. Otherwise, rawr. Gonna be preordering a Collector’s if possible (for in-game benefits), and will be looking forward to playing it this upcoming weekend.
I almost finished Rhgenkoba’s first commission. I’ll finish it up tomorrow morning / after class tomorrow.. I’m way too tired to finishi it up right now.. I’ll just make it sloppy, haha. But yeah it’s like 95-98% complete, yay go me! I’ll be posting it up tomorrow.
mm, so I almost forgot about this… but at the AniMaid Café Forums we had a maid gift art exchange… It was due this Saturday, so I managed to whip something up today. @.@ I’m getting better and faster at doing art quicker! O.o Yay! XD I’m pretty happy with how this came out for only spending probably around 5-6 hours on it (big improvement for me)!
The day was pretty average.. I left early for school today… … I thought I would be bored waiting for class to start, but instead.. I was extremely unlucky with parking! Took me over thirty minutes to find a spot, and I barely made it in time for class (by two minutes). My psychology professor was just ranting about how we’re destroying the Earth and how we’re going to cause our downfall, etc, etc. What all psych professors talk about.
During my break I was studying for my Japanese quiz when out of nowhere, my friend, Travis found me. So we hung out and talked since his class pretty much started around the time my Japanese class started. Then randomly an AX Forumer found me, haha that was pretty random but awesome! Japanese quiz was relatively simple, but I missed a few I know… Our class was moved to a different room, and man were the chairs insanely comfy! Bwahahaha…
Yesterday was such a crazy day. It began with me waking up around 9:00 am, showering, and dashing to the local (which isn’t very local) Pearls Art Store.. I had to buy some 14″x17″ Bristol paper for my Art Design class… only to mount the designs I drew. I mean seriously. I had to buy a 14×17″ portfolio as well as a french curve, a clear ruler, and some xacto knife #11 blades. I also got a new sketchbook for myself since my old one ran out of space. This one is a little bigger, but still smalle nough to fit in my kitty backpack.
So as soon as I got home I mounted the designs and worked completed the second part of my assignment (choosing two of the designs and making a gradient from white to black). As soon as I was done I immediately had to dash for school… and even having left so much earlier than usual (10:40), I was still barely there on time. I didn’t really pay attention through the entire class, I just doodled… I first sketched out Rhgenkoba’s commission and then I drew a little chibi Vensy maid blogging, and finally I finished it off with a random Miku bust. A couple of people stopped behind me as they were walking by and asked, “you like anime?” So it was cool to finally discover some similar interests between myself and my classmates.

Man today was a tiring day… I began the day by waking up early and studying my Kanji for the quiz today in Japanese 2. I got them all down pretty quickly, whch was pretty surprising. Psychology today was very interesting. The lecture was about the big bang, and man… it just felt like it tied in with my Geology class so well. My class was let out early, so I immediately went back to studying my Kanji… I finally got everything down pretty well and felt like I could work on other homework, so I began coming up with designs for my Art Design class. Finished that and then spent the rest of my break studying again.
My Kanji quiz went very well, I’m pretty sure I did very well (if not aced it). We went over our new vocabulary, and damn.. there’s a lot I’m going to have to memorize. But hey, I want to learn this language so I have to keep up the dedication and work hard.
When I got home I checked my mail immediately and whoo! My Sheryl Nome earring came in.. I was uber excited. I immediately took pictures (they’re not the best pictures of me, but their purpose is to just show the earring) – and I gotta say I love it a lot. I can’t wait to work on my blue dress… also can’t wait to get a Sheryl wig, because I absolutely love her hair style (and it’s more “normal” than my [...]
