ell, I have the photoshoot pictures now! I’m really happy with them! These shots just seem so professional, they amaze me. @_@ I’ve been spoiled with amazing photographers, haha. This shoot has really inspired me to improve myself though… I’m trying to learn to use make up better now and I’m going to be working out more, dieting better, and whatnot to get a better figure. ^_^ It’s really amazing how much cosplay can help someone, hehe. (If you happen to be a cosplayer looking for a photographer, ask Tim Vo or Omar Hussain! They’re both wonderful, as you can see with these beautiful shots!)
To the right is a sketch I worked on for my next mini cosplay project, gothic-lolita Miku. I’m going to be using my wavy wig and black yukata as well as making little accessories for the ponytails. I’m going to look into purchasing tattoo paper so I can design myself something for my cheek. I need to get some shoes and some cute socks, and possibly buy some mini bows to enhance a few spots (ie; socks). Really looking forward to getting this look down, though I need to figure out what kind of make up would look good with it.
Working on AniMaid Café stuff and commissions now, as well as juggling school work, so busy! And I just realized I need to finish writing the step-by-step tutorial of my gun, though I ended up not getting progress pictures of the end steps.. >_> Oops, but [...]
hee, I finished the Kallen commission for Rhgenkoba. Took me a little longer than expected, but with school just starting off I needed to get back into the hang of it. Haha. I’m really happy with this one! Her pose is a little too close to the original reference picture given to me, but I think I spent around 5 hours just messing with her pose, at which point I gave up and went with my original sketch idea which was based on the reference image given. (Sketched it at school during class haha)
I made a wallpaper version of this at 1600×1200px, which I’ll be giving to the commissioner, as well as getting an 8×10″ print.
Today was a good day in general. Classes went pretty well and after school Kerry came over. I had fun spending the day with him, though I didn’t get as much done as I was hoping to, but that’s alright. I’ll just catch up tomorrow~ Kerry and I met up with some of my high school friends and we went to Norms, where we just hung out and talked. xD Nerd talk! Was a lot of fun. I missed my friends. ♥
But yeah, I gotta dash to bed now, gotta wake up early-ish so I can study for my Psychology test as well as finish my Japanese homework~ おやすみなっさい～
Blaahh, I’m so tired. I’m about ready to crash. T-T” This weekend was pretty much filled with playing Aion, haha… I think it was Thursday that Kerry and I started playing? Or was it Wednesday? I forgot and I’m too lazy to look back in my logs. I think Wed… Thursday if I recall I was lagging like crazy and couldn’t do anything at all. On Friday Kerry came over and we were playing it together, and we were both lagging for a long time… but after resetting all three routers at my dad’s computer, I managed to fix the connection. Saturday was filled with playing Aion, and.. yeah.. Today I played a little bit too, but not nearly as much.
Fun game. Still a lot to get used to though.. and I’m trying to see what ranger and cleric are like. Otherwise, rawr. Gonna be preordering a Collector’s if possible (for in-game benefits), and will be looking forward to playing it this upcoming weekend.
I almost finished Rhgenkoba’s first commission. I’ll finish it up tomorrow morning / after class tomorrow.. I’m way too tired to finishi it up right now.. I’ll just make it sloppy, haha. But yeah it’s like 95-98% complete, yay go me! I’ll be posting it up tomorrow.
Yesterday was such a crazy day. It began with me waking up around 9:00 am, showering, and dashing to the local (which isn’t very local) Pearls Art Store.. I had to buy some 14″x17″ Bristol paper for my Art Design class… only to mount the designs I drew. I mean seriously. I had to buy a 14×17″ portfolio as well as a french curve, a clear ruler, and some xacto knife #11 blades. I also got a new sketchbook for myself since my old one ran out of space. This one is a little bigger, but still smalle nough to fit in my kitty backpack.
So as soon as I got home I mounted the designs and worked completed the second part of my assignment (choosing two of the designs and making a gradient from white to black). As soon as I was done I immediately had to dash for school… and even having left so much earlier than usual (10:40), I was still barely there on time. I didn’t really pay attention through the entire class, I just doodled… I first sketched out Rhgenkoba’s commission and then I drew a little chibi Vensy maid blogging, and finally I finished it off with a random Miku bust. A couple of people stopped behind me as they were walking by and asked, “you like anime?” So it was cool to finally discover some similar interests between myself and my classmates.

eah, I finally finished Osa’s giant poster commission, it took me forever! I’m pretty happy with it, considering it’s my first time doing a full-BG poster print. I’m definitely going to have to charge more in the future though… because it took way too long for $50. It doesn’t help that it was my first commission ever with a full background, and poster sized at that, so I’m sure I’ll get quicker with it in the future, but for now I need to charge a little more, at least $75. I’m just worried no one will commission me if I do that. T_T
This past weekend was fun. Friday I spent most of the day working on Osa’s commission (8-10 hours total work), but then Kerry came over for the evening. We relaxed for the most part, played some Heroes of Newerth, and just hung out. A nice, slow, and quiet evening spent together~
On Saturday we went to Kelly’s house for a BBQ Party. It was a lot of fun! Of course, as usual I didn’t take many photos at all… And the few that I did take didn’t come out very good because, well, I was already on my way to being drunk. I ended up drinking a little bit too much that night and yeah… I ended up camping near the toilet for a little while, haha. Kerry found me though and had me go outside for some fresh air. Today I didn’t do that much. I woke up fairly early and watched some Gintama, but then I did work on Hean’s commission a little bit (link on the side). I’m not THAT happy with it so far but I’ll fix it up. I’ve already redone it once. I swear I’ve redone like all his commissions at least twice, all of them. Haha.. >< Just strange characters to work with is all, I guess.
Oh man today.. I randomly decided to finally just put my WoW account up on Craigslist.. I originally was thinking of putting it up for $250, but as I was writing the ad I decided to up it to $300 just for the hell of it… I really wasn’t expecting a response at least for a few days, but to my surprise I got a response in the afternoon.. someone who even thought $300 was a fair price! I was very hesitant through the entire process, but it looks like it went through clean. I had them send it to Kerry’s paypal since my paypal uses the same e-mail that was on file with my WoW account, so I didn’t want to risk getting my account banned and losing out on the money…
So yeah! I’m happy! About $300 richer today by doing nothing! All that WoW gaming ended up paying off. ;3 Still can’t wait for my wigs to come in. Hoping my wavy one will come in before the weekend so I can wear it on [...]
Yayy! I just finished one of my commissions just now. @_@ A bit late, but eh.. at least I’m done with it! So I can start on Zen’s tomorrow. Mwahahaha. I’m really happy with how this one came out, honestly. I haven’t really done much art in a while, so this was a nice warm up. Messed around with color theory, and I got the anatomy done pretty well… at least I would think so. I hope everything came out okay on the commission.
Played more Heroes of Newerth today with Kerry, Ben, Bryce, and a few of their friends. It was a lot of fun… I’m playing with a new hero now (Moon Queen) and I’ve actually improved quite a bit. My last two games I got quite a few hero kills, so I was pretty happy with myself. ^-^ Haha other than playing HoN and working on the commission, I’ve done nothing but listen to Vocaloid music all day, and find dances I could do as Miku Hatsune when I cosplay as her. =3 I found quite a few candidates, and a few of which I really want to do.
Haha the title is from another awesome Vocaloid song I’ve fallen in love with. But anyways, today was a bumpy day. The morning began with me feeling extremely grouchy and down because of problems between myself and my dad. But as the day went on, I slowly hammered myself back to being myself and cheerful. Things smoothed out between my dad and I as well. We’re going to go fishing together on Wednesday morning. Hopefully we catch a lot of fishies~
Had to go do grocery shopping because we ran out of milk, and man… I bought a lot of juice. A carton of orange juice; mango and peach; pineapple and orange; and fruitpunch. So much fruit juice~ It makes me very happy. :3
Haha. But yeah, other than that.. I pretty much just worked on DeviaLuna’s commission all day (other than a game or two of Heroes of Newerth). It’s almost done~ I was hoping to finish it tonight, but I’m too tired to keep working… I’ll start being all sloppy, so I’ll just head to bed a little earlier and work on it tomorrow. Then I’ll work on Zen’s commission immediately afterwards.
